Edward A. Brzezinski

September 13, 1915 — January 30, 2005

Edward A. Brzezinski 89, formerly of Wausau, died Sunday, January 30, 2005 at Cedar Ridge Elder Services, Schofield. He was born September 13, 1915 in Bevent, son of the late Peter and Mary (Wilkowski) Brzezinski. On September 25, 1937, he married Mathilda Glodowski at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Rosholt. She preceded him in death on June 6, 2004. Edward retired in 1980, following many years of service at Marathon Millwork and Marathon Rubber Plant Corp. He was an usher at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus and belonged to their Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. Among his many interests, he enjoyed fishing up north on Pine Lake and hunting. In his retired years, Edward loved to visit and pray for his family and friends. Survivors include ten children, Gordon (Constance) Brzezinski, Schofield, Genevieve (John) Hintz, Stevens Point, Lawrence (Winifred) Brzezinski, Schofield, Richard (Lynn) Brzezinski, Lancaster, Cal., Patricia (Roger) Zynda, Schofield, Roy (Patricia) Brzezinski, Burlington, Kathleen (John) Letarski, Ringle, Thomas (Faye) Brzezinski, Wausau, Anthony Brzezinski, Wausau and Susan (Carman) Gress, Wausau; 23 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; three brothers, Raymond (Grace) Brzezinski, Wausau, Clarence (Helen) Brzezinski, Schofield and Myron (Valeria) Brzezinski, Irma; and two sisters-in-law, Gladys and Pat Brzezinski. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by six grandchildren; four brothers, Joseph, Theodore, Florian and Daniel Brzezinski; and two sisters-in-law, Irene and Emily Brzezinski. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 2005 at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Joseph Gyim-Austin will preside. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and again Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services all at the church. A Parish Rosary service will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the entire staff of Cedar Ridge Elder Services for the wonderful care and personal attention given to Edward during his time with them.
