Edward C. Bebeau

Edward C. Bebeau 87, Wausau, died Thursday November 25, 2004 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born March 25, 1917 in Tomahawk, son of the late Paul and Martha (Filbrandt) Bebeau. He married Thelma "Tammy" Hoover. She preceded him in death. Serving in the Army Air Corps, Ed was a veteran of World War II, having trained combat air crews. After 4 1/2 years of regular service, he also served 22 years in reserve status. Before his retirement, he had been employed with Western Electric (AT&T) for 35 years in the Chicago/Milwaukee area and later in the San Francisco area. He was a devout Roman Catholic his entire life and was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. Survivors include two sons, David Bebeau, Canyon Lake, Texas; E Charles (Nin) Bebeau Jr., Boulder, Colo.; two granddaughters, Vanessa and Tessa; a grandson, Elon; two sisters, Shirley Peterson, and Beatrice (Leo) Marqui, all of Wausau. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson, two brothers and three sisters. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Tues. Nov. 30, 2004 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. Burial will be in the National Cemetery Presidio, California. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
