Edward H. Arnold formerly of Rib Lake, WI passed away on Sunday November 3rd, 2024 at Athenian Living in Athens, WI under the care of Athenian Living and Interim Hospice. He was 91 years young.
He was born on December 5th, 1932 in Germantown, WI to the late George and Dora (Schwartz) Arnold. On November 3, 1956, he married the love of his life, Shirley Miller at St. James Catholic Church in Lannon, WI and was reunited with his wife on what would have been their 68th wedding anniversary.
A devote dairy farmer, he began farming at the age of 14 in his hometown. He moved to Slinger, WI in 1969 and then Rib Lake, WI in 1994 where he owned and ran successful dairy farming operations with his wife. He retired from farming in 2007. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed a good game of sheepshead and putting together puzzles. He was also a devote Brewer and Packer fan, listening/watching to every game as-well-as the Equity Livestock Report.
Edward is survived by two children, Jeffrey (Michele) Arnold of Athens, and Jeanne (Otto) Tiegs of Bryant, WI. He is also survived by five grandchildren including Bryan Arnold, Kim (Jared) Prince, Brenda (Travis) Punke, Karen (Nate) Hintz, and Eric (Kim) Tiegs. In addition to his grandchildren, Edward is survived by eight great-grandchildren, Ashleigh, Brantley, Christopher, Leo, Madilyn, Ruby, Brooklyn, and Bryce. He is also survived by one sister, Doreen Hornig of Slinger along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Reese, and his brother-in-law Walter Hornig.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm (noon) on Friday November 8th, 2024 at Peterson/Kramer Funeral Home in Athens. A visitation will be held for friends and family on Friday from 10:30am until the time of services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Rib Lake, WI.
