Edna F. Schreier

Edna Frances (Rajek) Schreier 84, 2969 Granite Road, Mosinee, died Monday February 3, 2003 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. She was born December 26, 1918 in Marathon, daughter of the late Frank Sr. and Alvina (Henke) Rajek. An amazing, compassionate person, Edna, loved being a homemaker and spending time with her family. Among her favorite things to do were gardening, baking, washing and hanging clothes outdoors as well as watching wildlife and listening to polkas. Survivors include eight sons; Gerald (Genevieve) Schreier, Marathon and their family, Steven, Mark(Kathy), James; James Schreier, Marathon, and his children, Lori (Randy) Ullenbrack and Rodney; Joseph (Maureen) Schreier, Wausau, and their family, Wendy (Paul Jankowski) Schreier, Kenneth Jr.; Richard Schreier, Clifford Schreier, Robert Schreier, David Schreier and John Schreier, all of Mosinee, five daughters, Mary Ellen J. Volm, Wausau, and her family Richard Jr.(Shelby), Pamela (Wayne) Marsh, Frank (Angie) Volm; Darlene (Kenneth) Nowitzke, Wausau, Ruth (Kenneth) Wendt, Mosinee, and their family, Lisa (Craig) Landrath, Sheila (John) Holbach, Jeremy Wendt; Edna Jane Schreier and Elizabeth Schreier, both of Mosinee. Great-grandchildren, Justin & Nicolette Volm, Amber and Sheen Marsh, Jade, Abby & Jake Volm, A.J. & Kristin Schreier, Warren Goetsch, Allison & Emily Ullenbrack, Brandon Nowacki, Cody Landrath, Joshua Holbach; one brother, Frank Jr.(Bertha) Rajek, Marathon, four sisters, Johanna Schreier, Edgar, Evelyn Kage, Edgar, Lorraine Erdmann, Marathon, Delores (Milton) Lewitzke, Wausau. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan; two sons, Kenneth and Gary Schreier, a granddaughter, Julie Goetsch, a son-in-law, Richard N. Volm Sr., a daughter-in-law, Alvina Schreier and a brother, Edward Rajek. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday February 6, 2003 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Marathon. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the Marathon funeral home. Special thanks to 'Dr. John' and his assistants, David and Betty for the special care and concern extended to Edna at home.
