Edmund G. Jalinske

Edmund G. Jalinske 93, of Wausau died Tuesday, July 24, 2001 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau. He was born March 10, 1908 in Ladysmith, son of the late Joseph and Cecelia (Stepaniak) Jalinske. In June of 1932, he married Pauline Arquette at St. James Catholic Church, Wausau. She preceded him in death on April 13, 1985. Edmund retired from the Wausau Motor Parts in 1970. He was a prominent bowler in the community in the 1940's and 1950's. He was an avid fisherman and he took great pride in his family and delight in his grandchildren. Survivors include four children, Wallace (Teresa) Jalinske, New York City, Barbara (William) Schuett and Audrey (Clifford) Morden all of Wausau, Jeanette (Terrance) Krebsbach, Mosinee; six grandchildren, Michael (Kristine) Fitzgerald, Wausau, Scott (Vickie) Fitzgerald, Harlingen, Texas, Virginia (Paul) Pohl, David E. Hahn, Wausau, Elizabeth (Michael) Ungar, Robbinsdale, MN & Edmund G. Jalinske II, New York City; six great grandchildren, Patrick Fitzgerald, Laura (Josh Dickinson) Fitzgerald all of Wausau, Amy (Chad) Sivula, Daniel Pohl, Michelle Fitzgerald, Harlingen, Texas, Benjamin Ungar, Robbinsdale, MN; three great great grandchildren, Marcus Fitzgerald, and Maxwel and Nathaniel Sivula; two step great grandchildren, Samantha Lowder and Natalie Davis; one step great great granddaughter, Kayla Boraca. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and their spouses and three sisters and their spouses. The funeral mass will be celebrated Noon on Friday, July 27, 2001 at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Rev. Stephen Gross will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau and again from 11:00 a.m. Friday until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish vigil Thursday evening at the 6th St. funeral home.
