Edith C. Koepke, 92, Edgar, died Friday, December 13, 2002 at the House of Dove, Marshfield. Edith was born July 22, 1910, in Marathon County, daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Schwinge) Jahnke. She married Alvin Koepke. He preceded her in death in January 1978. Edith was a homemaker and farmed in the town of Frankfort with her husband Alvin. She was a member of the Ladies Aid, Evening Guild and choir all at St. John Lutheran Church, High steeple. She is survived by one son, Neal (Anna) Koepke, town of Frankfort; one daughter, Aledith Gottschalk, town of Wein; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one sister, Hilda Sipple, Groton, South Dakota; nieces, nephews and relatives and friends. Besides her husband, Alvin and her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson, Frank Maxon. Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 18, 2002 at St. John Lutheran Church, High Steeple. The Rev. Roger Moldenhauer will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar is in charge of arrangements. Honorary pallbearers for the service will be Steven, Michael and Mark Koepke. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the St. John Lutheran Church, High Steeple Mission Fund.
