Earl W. Schultz
80, 1111 McIntosh Street, Wausau, died Saturday, January 1, 2005 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau.
He was born April 5, 1924 in Mosinee, son of the late Otto and Laura (Wendorf) Schultz. On May 24, 1986, he married June Lang in Wausau. She survives.
Earl was proud to have served his country with the Army Corps of Engineers during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Burns Post #388, Wausau.
Following more than 44 years of service, Earl retired from his position as a cost accountant at Mosinee Papers Inc. Among his many interests, he loved fishing and dancing.
Survivors include, his wife, June Lang-Schultz, Wausau; a daughter, Kay (Gary) Krall, Schofield; two step daughters, Charlene (Randy) Barnett, Lakeville, Minn. and Debra (Richard) Hack, Rothschild; a step son, Jeffrey (Cathy) Lang, San Jose, Cal.; four step grandchildren, Rebecca, Kristi, David and Katlyn; and two great step grandchildren, Jacob and Madeline.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Steven Gjerde will officiate. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau, where full military honors will be conducted by members of the VFW. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and again from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services, all at the Sixth Street funeral home.
