Earl E. Klatt

Earl E. Klatt 67, Wausau, died Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born September 13, 1942 in Wausau, son of the late Gilbert and Irene (Richmond) Klatt. Irene later divorced Gilbert and married Alvin Dallman, who raised Earl and his brothers. On April 22, 1993, he married Lorraine Janz in Wausau. She survives. Earl was a veteran of the United States Marines and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Burns Post #388, Wausau. Among his many interests, he enjoyed fishing, playing cards, going to the casino and was an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan and Green Bay Packers fan. He loved life in general. Survivors include, his wife, Lorraine Klatt, Wausau; his father, Alvin Dallman, Wausau; two brothers, Gerald (Karen) Klatt and Ronald (Joyce) Klatt, both of Wausau; his aunt, Dorothy Boushley who he called "Mom #2", Wausau; one sister-in-law, Lorraine Klatt, Wausau; his step-children, Dawn Powers, Longmont, Colo., Jeffrey (Krista) Janz, Wausau, Lori (Mike) Pergolski, St. Germain, Douglas (fiancee Nancy Zick) Janz, Wausau and Connie Teale and her boyfriend, Jim Lachman, LaCrosse; seven step-grandchildren; and three step-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Dorschmidt; and one brother, Clifford Klatt. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Grace United Church of Christ, Wausau. Rev. Wayne Drueck will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau with full military honors conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Burns Post #388, Wausau. Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
