Douglas R. Wasmundt

Douglas R. Wasmundt 39, 602 S. 36th Avenue., Wausau, died Thursday, April 21, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was born June 24, 1965 in Marathon County to Robert Wasmundt, Wausau and Delores (Sliwicki) Ringwelski, Wausau. Doug was employed at Krueger Wholesale Florists as a salesman. He enjoyed riding his Harley with friends and spending time cruising around on the pontoon. He was most proud of his antique Shelby Mustang Convertible. Survivors besides his parents Robert (Connie) Wasmundt, Wausau, and Delores (Richard) Ringwelski, Wausau, include his brother, Mike Wasmundt, Wausau, step brothers, Brad (Sonja) Weiland, Madison and Wade (Becky) Weiland, Wausau, his nephew and godson, Jacob Wasmundt, a god daughter, Marissa Gregory, paternal grandmother, Helen Kardack, Wausau, one aunt, Bud (Tom) Goetsch, Wausau, his uncle and mentor, Floyd (Judy) Sliwicki, along with many other aunts and uncles. Doug is further survived by unlimited friends. Preceded in death by a cousin, Russell Sliwicki. The funeral mass will be celebrated 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2005 at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. The Rev. Thomas Abraham will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
