Douglas "Doug" G. Polaski
75, Hatley, died Saturday, October 6, 2012, under the care of AseraCare Hospice at Wausau Manor Nursing Home.
He was born October 14, 1936 in Oshkosh, the son of Florence (Calkins) Polaski of Neenah and the late August Polaski. On August 19, 1960, he married Janet Kiedrowski in Hatley. She survives.
Doug was a truck driver and was employed with Signal Delivery and Harvey Services, until his retirement. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include, his wife, Janet Polaski, Hatley; his mother, Florence Polaski, Neenah; three children, Thomas (Dawn) Polaski, Duluth, Minn., Russel (Tina) Polaski, San Tan Valley, Ariz. and Jacqueline (John) Cherek, Hatley; five grandchildren, Robert Polaski, Eric Polaski, Casey Cherek, Jenna (Adam) Knight and Jamie Polaski; one great grandson, Jackson Knight; and one brother, Richard (Helen) Polaski, Neenah.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at AseraCare Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion given to Doug and his family.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
