Douglas R. Brown

Douglas R. Brown, 65, Edgar passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026.

He was born January 22, 1961, in Wausau, son of Janice (Hamann) Brown, Edgar and the late Ronald Brown.

Doug grew up working on his parents' farm and continued doing that for his first few years after graduation. He did a variety of jobs before eventually finding himself delivering and setting up in-home/hospice care equipment. He enjoyed helping people, listening to their stories, and showing them the compassion God gave him. While not helping others, Doug was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering on his nieces and nephews in their endeavors. He could be found every weekend cheering on the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and Badgers.

Doug was also an active member of his church, and loved his church family. He served as church president along with other duties throughout his life.

Survivors include his mother, Janice Brown, Edgar, his siblings, Larry (Wendy) Brown, MN, Beverly (Todd) Schwantes, Oconto Falls, Bruce (Jamie) Brown, Kansas and Stacey (Mark) Van Hoy, Edgar and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Ronald Brown and grandparents.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2026, at St. John Lutheran Church-High Steeple, 119415 Huckleberry Road, Edgar. The Rev. Michael Mathey will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
