Douangchay Vilaysane

Douangchay Jai Vilaysane, born on September 15, 1977, in Ban Tin Pier Laos, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of her friends and family.

Jai went to Franklin Elementary school, John Muir Middle, and graduated from East High School in 1996. Jai enjoyed singing karaoke, eating, and playing cards with her friends. She was such a joker, always bringing laughter and people together.

She is survived by her father, Phay Vilaysane; her mother, Deune Vilaysane; sister, Malay; brother, Aenoy; partner, Larry; nephews, Martez, Marlon, Kargie, Madden, and Mackenzie; niece, Karlesia; and great-niece, Zaviyah.

Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com.
