Dorothy A. Westcott

Dorothy A. Westcott, 92, Wausau, died Sunday, January 12, 2014 at North Central Health Care Center, Garden Side Crossings under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born May 12, 1921 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Herman and Elenora (Altenbach) Ehrhardt. Dorothy was married to Erwin Biesel. He passed away in 1956. She then married George Westcott Sr. and he also passed away in 1977. Dorothy was a homemaker. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, crocheting, playing cards, jig saw puzzles and in her earlier years she assisted George installing carpeting. Dorothy was famous for her rosette cookies and German potato salad and was always known to have an open door at her home and full cupboards with items to share. Survivors include her children, Susan Biesel, Weston, Erwin (Bonnie) Biesel, Lindenhurst, Illinois, Frank Biesel, Weston, Robert (Faye) Biesel, Delavan, John Biesel, Wausau and Jerry (Polly) Biesel, Harshaw, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, her step children, George Westcott Jr., Mississippi, Gerald (Eunice) Westcott, Grafton, Donna (Sid) Sylvester, Milwaukee, Karen (Ken) Hackey, Marshfield, Robert Wescott, Milwaukee and Betty (Robert) Bertnick, Brookfield, 20 step grandchildren, 13 step great grandchildren and 14 step great great grandchildren. Dorothy is further survived by her siblings, Herman (Delores) Ehrhardt, Sussex and June Shafer, Coloma. Besides her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by two children, Leanore Steinbach and Paul Biesel, her step children, Mary Ann Sorenson and Matthew Westcott, three sisters and two brothers. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral home.
