Dorothy A. Tess

Dorothy A. Tess 86, Edgar, died Saturday, August 21, 2004 at the Marshfield Center under the care of Ministry Home Care. Dorothy was born January 5, 1918 in Edgar daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Mathiesen) Tess. Dorothy worked at Murray Machinery for many years as an administrative assistant. She enjoyed antiques, cats, gardening, spending time at her cottage on Manson Lake and watching baseball and football games; especially the Packers. Dorothy was also secretary/treasurer for the former First Presbyterian Church in Edgar. Dorothy had a love of learning and lived her life to the fullest. Of all the things in Dorothy's life nothing brought a bigger smile to her face than spending time with her family. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Sheila Rossmiller, Edgar, Julie (Neil Michek) Tess, Highland, Kathy (Jack) Blume, Glendale, William (Jill) Tess, Edgar, Robert Tess, Edgar, great nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Tess, Addie Michek, Will Rossmiller, Sam Rossmiller, Nathan Michek and Alex Michek and one sister-in-law, Eunice Tess, Edgar. Besides her parents Dorothy was preceded in death by five brothers, Earl, Harvey, Lester, Raymond and Melvin Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 26, 2004 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar. Rev. Keith Jones will officiate. Burial will be in the Edgar Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar and again on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the funeral home.
