Dorothy M. Schueller

Dorothy M. Schueller, 96, died Saturday, November 16, 2024, under the care of Heartland Hospice at Copperleaf Assisted Living of Marathon.

She was born July 16, 1928, in Milan, daughter of the late Louis and Clara (Braun) Schueller.

Almost every niece, nephew, great-niece and great-nephew had Dorothy as a babysitter, and she enjoyed that very much.  Some of her hobbies included playing cards, rolling dice, putting together puzzles and doing word finds.  She was always excited to participate in any activity going on at Copperleaf especially attending weekly Mass, painting, coloring or playing BINGO and she won many treasures from the BINGO store.  Dororthy loved jewelry and was often wearing many of her favorites.

Survivors include her sister, Jeannie Heidmann; sister-in-law, Sandra Schueller; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by infant brother, Sylvarius, brothers, Alois, Victor, George, Oliver and Lawrence “Butch” and sisters, Marie Krause and Agnes Adamski.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar.  Rev. Alan Wierzba will preside.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services all at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Copperleaf Assisted Living of Marathon and Heartland Hospice for their kind, compassionate given to Dorothy.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
