Dorothy I. O' Neill

Dorothy I. O'Neill, 81, 404 4th Street, Marathon, died Saturday, May 31, 2003 at her home. She was born December 5, 1921 in Ventura, Iowa daughter of the late Martin and Christina (Paul) Gebhardt. On May 4, 1946 Dorothy married Robert E. O'Neill in Chicago. He preceded her in death on February 13, 1980. Dorothy worked as an office assistant for the Lakeland Times. She loved puzzles, reading, spending time outdoors and most of all enjoyed the company of her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include one daughter, Patricia (Charles) Jubert, Phoenix, Ariz., one son Robert (Jeanne) O'Neill, Marathon, four grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, two brothers, Herm Gebhardt, Arlington Heights, Ill., Wally (Millie) Gebhardt, Hoffman Estates, Ill., two sisters, Marge Williams, Tampa, Fla. and Betty Stanko, PawPaw, Mich. Besides her husband and parents Dorothy was preceded in death by one sister and one brother. Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Marathon. Rev. Jon Hadler will officiate. Burial will be in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary, Ill. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home Marathon is in charge of arrangements.
