Dorothy L. Krejci

Dorothy Krejci 90, 501 Lincoln Avenue, Wausau, died Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born December 20, 1914 in Elderon, Wis., daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Tryba) Goytowski. On September 7, 1940, she married Lawrence Krejci at St. James Catholic Church, Wausau. He survives. Dorothy was a homemaker until 1962, when she was employed by the former St. Mary Hospital, Wausau in the housekeeping department, until 1978. In her retirement years, Dorothy and her husband spent the summer months at their cottage on Lake Nokomis in Tomahawk and the winter months in Mesa, Ariz. When her health began to fail, they moved back to Tomahawk for one year in 2002, and since 2003 Dorothy had resided at Harbor House, Wausau. Among her many interests, she enjoyed dancing, playing cards, walking and her travels, which included, six Caribbean cruises, two trips to Germany and Hawaii. Survivors include, her husband, Lawrence Krejci Sr.; two sons, John "Jack" Krejci and Lawrence Krejci Jr.; one granddaughter, Theresa (Ryan) Edwards; and two great-grandchildren, all of Wausau; two sisters, Mary (Edmund) Sinski, Milwaukee and Janet (Gerald) Patnode, Mesa, Ariz.; six brothers, Ervin (Vera) Goytowski, Wenatchee, Wash., William (Marcella) Goytowski and Raymond Goytowski, all of Wausau; Lester (Marge) Goytowski, Rogers, Ark., Ernest (Mary) Goytowski, West Allis and Clarion (Gayle) Goytowski, Pewaukee; and many sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Roger; one sister Esther Gleason; and two brothers, Leo and Barney Goytowski. Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, February 14, 2005 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will officiate. Entombment will be in the Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the Sixth Street Funeral Home.
