Dorothy Kostka

Dorothy Kostka 91, 1730 Porter St., Wausau, passed away peacefully December 26, 2011, surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born June 5, 1920 in Wausau, daughter of the late Carl and Louise (Eisner) Haufschildt. She married Alex Kostka on December 31, 1938. He preceded her in death. Dorothy was a loving and caring mother, beloved grandmother and loving great-grandmother. She loved knitting and crocheting for family members and friends. She loved to travel with Alex. Dorothy devoted herself to family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include her son, Terrance (Sandra) Kostka, daughter, Bonnie, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. December 31, 2011 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1719 N. 3rd Avenue, Wausau. Friends may visit from 1:30 p.m. until services and immediately after the services. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth St., Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
