Dorothy B. Fochs

Dorothy B. Fochs 87, Wausau, died Wednesday, December 30, 2009 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Harmony Terrace Commons, Wausau. She was born August 17, 1922 in Wisc., daughter of the late John and Anna (Bong) Wirsbinski. On June 5, 1943 she married Lucian Fochs in Mosinee. He survives. Dorothy worked at Marathon Electric for 28 years and after retirement she loved spending winters in Florida with her husband. She also enjoyed embroidering, playing cards, having family at the cottage and especially spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Lucian, Wausau; children, Diane Slominski, Medford, Marie (Carl) Radtke, Merrill and Carl (Lynn) Fochs, Woodruff; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; brother, William Wirsbinski, North Carolina; sisters, Katherine Rosine, Mosinee and Esther Ollman, Milwaukee. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Aaron Slominski, sister, Agnes Sparby and brother, Joseph Wirsbinski. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Monday, January 4, 2010 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. The Rev. Gerald Pehler O.F.M. Cap. will preside. Friends may call Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Dorothy's name.
