Dorothy A. Betzner

Dorothy A. Betzner, 80, peacefully went to eternal rest, Friday, May 1, 2015 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born November 4, 1934 in Colby, daughter of the late Bernard and Elizabeth (Sterzinger) Dahlke. On September 1, 1956 she married Franklin Betzner in Edgar. He preceded her in death on April 9, 1984. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, gardening, word search, reading, baking and canning. She also enjoyed bird watching and together they enjoyed bowling. She will be deeply missed by her six children: Debi (LaRon) Hoppenworth, Edgar, Donnie Betzner, Athens, Karen (Dave) Lange, Mosinee, Pam Hoffman, Edgar, Patti (Lowell) Kaiser, Edgar and Connie Benishek, Kronenwetter; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. Rev. Robert Streveler will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar, is in charge of arrangements.
