Doris A. Schoepke, 80, formerly of Wausau, died Friday June 27, 2014 at Westfield's Hospital, New Richmond.
She was born January 31, 1934, in Eland, daughter of the late John and Marie (Verkuilan) Breske. On May 1, 1954, she married Arthur E. Schoepke at St. William Catholic Church, Eland. He preceded her in death in 1989.
Prior to her retirement, Doris had been employed at Wausau Hospital and Rosenberg Liquor Store. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, going for walks and sitting on her front porch watching the birds.
Survivors include four children, David (Sandy) Schoepke, Wausau, Julie (Roger) Lindloff, New Richmond, Patti (Warren) Krueger, Green Bay, Thomas (Dana) Schoepke, New Richmond; 15 grandchildren, Nicole, Aaron, Jason, Jeremy, Matthew, Joshua, Jessie, Callie, Zachary, Adam, Chris, Andy, Jason, Nathan and Heather; 16 great grandchildren, Logan, Annabelle, Eli, Tessa, Kayla, Emily, Allison, Andrew, Aidan, Molly, Oliver, Fynn, Sam, Sienna, Emma, and Halle one sister, Dee Hubert, two brothers, John (Peggy) Breske and Daniel (Elaine) Breske, a sister-in-law, Karen Breske.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Breske.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 1, 2014 at The Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
