Doris M. Sahr
79, 801 Parcher Street, Wausau, died Thursday December 1, 2005 in Buffalo, Minn.
She was born April 18, 1926 in Marathon County, daughter of the late Martin and Emma (Borchardt) Grosskreutz. On September 28, 1946, she married Leon Sahr at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wausau. He preceded her in death July 10, 2003.
Doris loved to cook and bake for her family, she also enjoyed gardening, especially her flower beds. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Burns Post 338 Auxiliary and the Elkettes.
Survivors include her children, Robert (Marilyn) Sahr, Menominee, Mich., Carol (Bruce) Triplett, Montrose, Minn., five grandchildren, Tim (Kelly) Sahr, Okinawa, Japan, Heidi (Brian) Borowski, Marinette, Korey Sahr, Plover, Brian Triplett, New Prague, Minn and Kevin Triplett, Montrose, Minn., one great grandson, Jarrett Sahr, Okinawa, Japan, one brother-in-law, Leon Burger, Wausau.
Besdies her parents and husband, Leon, she was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Weds. December 7, 2005 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Weds. From 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish vigil service at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday and a VFW Auxiliary Memorial Service Tuesday evening at the Sixth Street funeral home.
