Doris E. Nigbur

Doris E. Nigbur 94, 400 River Dr., Wausau, died Saturday June 7, 2003 at Mount View Care Center under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born May 29, 1909 in the town of Plover, daughter of the late John and Mary (Schulist) Tryba. On October 21, 1929 she married William Nigbur in Rosholt. He preceded her in death February 26, 1997. Doris was a homemaker and an active member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. She enjoyed playing cards and visiting with her friends. Survivors include her children, Caroline (David) Pieper, Tomahawk, Lucy Lunt, Wausau, Larry (Beverly) Nigbur, Wausau, Wallace (Jean) Nigbur, Rochester, Minn., Connie Stanke, Atwater, Calif., Janice Kreibich, Middleton, 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, three sisters, Madlin Budzinski, Junction City, Valeria Reikowski, Milwaukee and Loretta (Ray) Konkol, Kansasville. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, William, two grandchildren, four sisters and six brothers. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Thursday June 12, 2003 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Entombment will be in Holy Angels Mausoleum, St. Michael Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Michael Parish.
