Doris L. Habeck

Doris L. Habeck 81, Sheboygan, formerly of Wausau went to her eternal rest on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Sunny Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Sheboygan after 16 years of Kidney Dialysis. Doris was born July 9, 1930 to Carl and Lillian (Dorn) Karow in Merrill. She was united in marriage to Arlon Habeck July 12, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois, they later divorced only to be reunited 28 years later and remarry on November 23, 1994 in Wausau. Doris worked for the Holiday Inn in Wausau prior to moving to Tomah in 1974 where she went to work for the Veteran's Administration and retired in 1992. She loved to knit, crochet and sew in her spare time. She made her children and grandchildren many wonderful items over the years. Doris loved to do for her family and cared for them deeply. Doris is survived by her six sons and their spouses, Gerald and Lanee Habeck, Sheboygan, Brian and Susan Habeck, Tomah, Allen and Cynthia Habeck, Sheboygan, Russell and Lucinda Habeck, Middleton, Roger and Cynthia Habeck, Tomah and Dennis and Rebecca Habeck, Onalaska, 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren with twins expected in February 2012. Doris is further survived by her brother and his wife Arvid and Judy Karow, Wausau as well as her niece and nephew Kris and Kurt. She will be deeply missed by her friend since the 1st grade Arvilla Wendorf and numerous family members and friends. Preceding her in death were her husband, Arlon Habeck on June 30, 2010, her mother Lillian Burke and her father Carl Karow. Funeral services will be Noon, Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. Burial will be in Athens Lutheran Cemetery, Athens.
