Doris G. Ehrhardt

Doris G. Ehrhardt 86, formerly of 400 River Drive, Wausau, died Saturday, February 17, 2007 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born January 14, 1921 in Harlowton, Montana, daughter of the late Valentine A. and Helen (Bell) Witte. On October 6, 1940 she married Charles N. Ehrhardt Sr. in Davenport, Iowa. He preceded her in death August 9, 2002. Doris was a food service manager for more than 22 years for the Brown Deer School System. She was also a member of the Golden Rule Eastern Star Kenwood White Shrine Order of True Kindred. In her younger years she was a 4-H leader and also enjoyed sewing and knitting. Survivors include her two sons, Charles (Diane) Ehrhardt Jr., Wausau and John (Sharon) Ehrhardt, Fort Atkinson, one daughter, Sharon (Mike Carroll) Horner, Apache Junction, Ariz., seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2007 at First Presbyterian Church, Wausau. The Rev. Joy Nelson-Jeffers will officiate. Burial will be in Valhala Cemetery, Milwaukee. Friends may call on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services all at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
