Donna Mae Marcell

Donna Mae Marcell 71, 2303 Terracea Dr., Mosinee, died Sunday July 15, 2001 at her home, surrounded by her family, under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born August 23, 1929 in Wausau, daughter of the late Arthur and Myrtle (Pagel) Schmirler. She married William H. Marcell on July 9, 1949 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wausau. He preceded her in death on January 25, 1997. Donna was a homemaker that enjoyed life's simple pleasures, flower gardening, camping, swimming, fishing and traveling. She enjoyed collecting angels, her dog, Rosie, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild and was a woman of great faith. Donna left a positive image with those whose life she touched and was a great example of modern Christianity. She was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, the Birthday Club, the Leisure Club at Intercity Bank, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Rose and St. Patrick Circle of the Little Flower Council. Survivors include two daughters Julie (Jim) Lenzner, Wausau, Jane (Al) Hein, Athens, four sons, Bruce (Sue) Marcell, Ringle, Tom (Rita) Marcell, Gary (Lynn) Marcell and Jeff (Char) Marcell, all of Rothschild, 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and one sister, Betty Schantz, Wausau. The funeral mass will celebrated at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday July 18, 2001 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Comfort Care and Hospice Services or the Little Flower Council.
