Donna M. Krueger

Donna M. Krueger, 65, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016. Donna was born in Wausau, Wisconsin July 20, 1950 to Gustav and Doris Borchardt. Donna graduated from Wausau High School in 1968. Donna held jobs at Tradehome Shoe Store while still in high school, worked at ESAR Dental Laboratory, and at GTE/Verizon. Hired July 20, 1969, at GTE, she held various hourly and management positions, was transferred to Plymouth, Wisconsin, then to Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, and eventually to Indianapolis, Indiana where she worked until she retired November 30, 2003. In her spare time, Donna enjoyed spending time with her daughter and grandsons and the rest of her family. Donna was an avid golfer, enjoyed bowling in the winter in three bowling leagues, cooking, playing the organ, reading, music, playing cards, yard work, and working on her house. Donna is survived by her mother, Doris Borchardt, daughter Kimberley (Jason) Heaton, grandsons Justin Heaton and Kyle Heaton, sisters Sandra (Mike) Schmidt, LouAnn (Glenn) Schubring, brother Jeffrey (Carla) Borchardt, and half-brother Dennis (Renae) Hafenbreadl, eight nieces and nephews and also great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Gustav Borchardt and nephew Chad Tegelman. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday February 13, 2016 at St. Peter Lutheran Church LCMS, 7505 N. 33rd Street, Wausau. Rev. Scott Holoubek will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
