Donald "Don" C. Jehn

Donald "Don" C. Jehn, 78, Wausau, formerly of Marathon, entered eternal life on Thursday, October 28, 2021 in Madison after an extended illness. He fought courageously with a smile on his face.

He was born October 2, 1943 in Marathon City, son of the late Gilbert and Selma (Hanke) Jehn.

For many years, Don worked for Marathon Cheese Corporation until his retirement.  After his retirement from Marathon Cheese, he worked part time at Menards in the hardware department.  He enjoyed watching sports and attended the "Ice Bowl" at Lambeau field in 1967.  Don played and coached men's softball for many years.

Don loved watching NASCAR and attending local stock car races.  Don loved getting in the car and going for drives all over the county to look at what was new.

Don had a knack for carnival games and was a champion at Skee-Ball.  Don enjoyed many hours on Long Lake in Harrison Hills and imparted many beautiful memories and an appreciation of the outdoors onto his daughter.  Don loved his cat "Buddy" and spending time with his daughter and his son-in-law.

Don was very proud to be from Marathon City and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his beloved daughter, Angela (James) Haroldson, Wausau; one brother, Robert (Karen) Jehn, Marathon; two nephews, Jeff and Greg; one niece, Lisette; his ex-wife, Diane Dahlke-Myers, Wausau; and many cherished friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau.  Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Stettin.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Aspirus Wausau Hospital Kidney Care and Dr. Christopher Peterson at Aspirus Cancer Center for all the wonderful care and support for Don throughout the last ten years.
