Donald Henry Theis

Donald H. Theis, 69, Tomahawk, died Friday, October 8, 2004 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born June 29, 1935 in Chicago, Ill. , son of Leopold Sr. and Dorothy C. (Tholl) Theis. Donald was united in marriage to Bernardine Kirchen, September 29, 1956 in Chicago, Ill. In 1994, he retired from ITT Bell and Gossett in Morton Grove, Ill., after 42 years of service as a foreman. Donald enjoyed life, especially traveling and spending time with his family. Survivors include, four children, Donna Theis, Rockton, Ill., John Theis, Rockton, Ill., Karen (Bill) Theis, Custer Park, Ill. and Natalie (Juan) Theis De Pareja of Western Australia; two grandchildren, Juan "Sweetie" and Morgan "Squinker" Pareja; seven brothers and sisters, Dorothy Theis, Gerald (Virginia) Theis, Raymond (Terri) Theis, Kathleen (Paul) Lucas, Michael (Kity) Theis, Suzanne Theis and Thomas Theis; one aunt, Harriet Tholl; numerous nieces and nephews; three cousins, Mary Hermanson, Joanne Tholl and Henry Tholl; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Dillon and Marilyn Theis; four brothers-in-law, William (Paula) Kirchens, Lambert (Caryl) Kirchens, Bernard (Joy) Kirchens and Joseph (Patricia) Kirchens. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sons, Christopher, Lawrence and Patrick Theis; one brother, Leopold Theis Jr.; one sister-in-law, Jacqueline Theis;and one cousin, Robert Hermanson. Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 15, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights, Ill. Friends may call on Thursday, October 14, 2004, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Lauterburg-Oehler Funeral Home in Arlington Heights, Ill. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is assisting the family with arrangements.
