Donald ''Rody'' Rodehaver

Donald 'Rody' Rodehaver 74, 802 N. Second Ave., Wausau, died Weds. January 9, 2002 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. He was born May 12, 1927 in Wausau, son of the late Leroy and Sarah (Durke) Rodehaver. He married Dorothy Seidl on September 16, 1950 in Wausau. She preceded him in death on June 22, 1970. He married Roberta (Hagen) Cohotas in Wausau. She survives. Don was a 1945 graduate of Wausau High School and was a running back with the Wausau Muskey's. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps serving from 1947 until 1949. Don was a Past Grand Knight and member of the Knights of Columbus George Schreier Council #1069, Wausau. Don had been employed with the Gas Company, was involved in construction and retail sales until the time of his retirement. After retirement, he enjoyed driving taxi throughout the Wausau area. Among his favorite pasttimes were watching Brewer's games, the Green Bay Packer's, family picnics and visiting parks with his wife. He also enjoyed afternoons at B & R's with his sons and his dog, Donna. Survivors include his wife, Roberta, two daughters, Sara (Steve) Pueschner, Wausau, Becky (Jim) Greenheck, Weston, two sons, Tim (Debbie) Rodehaver, Weston and Dan (Sheila) Rodehaver, Schofield, two step-children, Kim (Bob) Manowski, Wausau and Wade (Sherri) Cohotas, Rothschild, one brother, Robert (Connie) Rodehaver, Colorado. He was the proud grandfather of nine grandchildren, Shannon & Seth Pueschner, Natalie & Mindy Rodehaver, Stephanie, Heather & Emily Rodehaver, Matt & Kate Manowski and a special family friend, Mike Beyler, Madison. Besides his parents first wife, Dorothy, he was preceded in death by a brother Leroy. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday January 12, 2002 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the Sixth Street funeral home. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund in Don's name is being established.
