Donald F. Kostroski

Donald "Don" F. Kostroski 79, Wausau, died Thursday, August 11, 2011 at his home. He was born May 15, 1932 in Wausau, son of the late Felix and Alice (Somers) Kostroski. On June 24, 1953 he married Elda Kunnanz in Antigo. She survives. Don retired as a service tech from Wisconsin Public Service and also owned Don's Beer Bar in both Merrill and Rib Falls. Everyone who met Don loved him and he was an excellent carpenter, electrician and plumber. Survivors include his wife, Elda, Wausau; son, David Kostroski, Wausau; daughter, Susan (Doug) Pahkamaa, Wausau; sister, Betty Reichl, Wausau; brothers, Eugene Kostroski, Marshfield and Ted Kostroski, Wausau. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth St., Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral home.
