Doloris E. Zemke

Doloris E. Zemke 83, formerly of 222 E. Ross Avenue, Wausau, died Sunday, February 13, 2005 at Wausau Manor. She was born May 2, 1921 in the town of Pine River, daughter of the late David and Clara (Schilling) Parent. On September 2, 1950 she married Raymond Zemke at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Merrill. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2000. Doloris worked at Wausau Papers for over 25 years and also at the Marathon County Health Dept. Doloris and Raymond enjoyed taking scenic drives together, often stopping at the casino to try their luck. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Tom (Ann) Schroeder, Logan, Utah, Kay Harvey, Duluth, Ga., Lou Ann (Geoff) Bush, Biloxi, Miss., Marjorie Zahrt, Wausau, Marlys Zemke, Wausau and Elroy (Nancy) Zemke, Rothschild, one sister-in-law, Stella Zemke, Rothschild, along with many great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, Doloris was preceded in death by two sisters, Lorna Schroeder and Evelyn Parent, brothers-in-law, Elmer Zemke Sr., and Elroy Zemke Sr. and nephew Elmer Zemke Jr. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2005 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Schofield. Rev. Donald Berg will preside. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
