Dolores J. Parker

Dolores J. Parker 85, 1300 North Ninth Avenue, Wausau died Monday, October 15, 2001 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. Dolores was born February 15, 1916 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, daughter of the late George and Amanda Emily (Rogstad) Mertinke Dolores managed the Concession stand in the Hotel Wausau from 1949 to 1960. She moved to California in 1960 and while there she completed three years of junior college. Dolores was then employed in inventory control at Dresser Industries until the time of her retirement in 1975, when she returned to Wausau. Survivors include one daughter, Emily Parker, Wausau, one grandchild, 3 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and one sister, Ione (Bernard) Senzig, Lake Forest, California. Besides her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Cowan and one brother, Gerald "Jerry" Mertinke. Private family graveside services will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of the arrangements.
