Dolores C. Ogiba

July 3, 1926 — March 5, 2017

Dolores C. Ogiba, 90, Rothschild, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 5, 2017 while under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Rennes Rehabilitation Center, Weston. She was born July 3, 1926 in Chicago of the late Barney and Veronica (Miotka) Beske. On April 17, 1948 she married Joseph L. Ogiba at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. Joe preceded Dolores in death on May 27, 1994. Dolores worked at the former Schaumberger Super Market in Rothschild as a cashier and then retired from Zimpro as a lab tech after 15 years. As a young woman, growing up in Mosinee, she worked various jobs for her parents at Beske Motors, the family grocery store and tavern. For many years, Dolores served as an active member of St. Mark Catholic Church, performing various positions including, lead distributor, lector, delivering Holy Communion to many shut ins and nursing facilities, as well as various positions with the Ladies Council and secretary for the P.C.C.W. Daily praying of the rosary and daily mass on television were a must for her. Dolores enjoyed being a member of and serving in leadership roles with the Catholic Daughters of America, Catholic Women of Wausau and the Hillside View Homemakers of Mosinee. When it came to family, Dolores put everything aside for the needs of her husband, children and grandchildren. She and Joe attended as many sporting events that they could fit into their schedule. Trips to Las Vegas, spending time at Norrie Lake and enjoying some good old quality time in Minocqua kept her busy. Dolores was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Christmas Eve would not be complete without her traditional tribute and moments of silence for all departed family members and friends. Her yearly recognition and family updates of events, awards, or just that side of humor to some incident would bring all family together on this special night. She was truly the wind beneath her family's wings. Survivors include her children, Joanne Raymer, Townsend, Theresa Schulta, Wausau, Robert (Leigh) Ogiba, Mosinee, John (Colleen) Ogiba, Birnamwood, Donna (Michael) McMahon, Weston, her grandchildren, Ryan Schulta, Jason (Laura) Schulta, Heather Schulta, Brandon (Chrissy) Schulta, Dan (Ashley) Ogiba, Robert (Sarah) Ogiba Jr., Becky Ogiba, Ben (Shar) Ogiba, Angie (Brian) Ogiba, Matthew and Joseph McMahon and her great grandchildren, Taylor Matsche, Mackenzie, Berlynn and Michael Schulta, Ian and Bennett Schulta and Oliver Ogiba; one brother-in-law, Stanley Grych, Mosinee; and one sister-in-law, Irene Beske, Mosinee. Dolores is further survived by two very special friends, Cindy Krueger and Joe VanHammond. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Beske and her sons-in-law, Michael Schulta and Bruce Raymer. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017 at St. Mark Catholic Church, Rothschild. The Rev. Alan Slowiak will preside. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee.
