Dolores Ann Lang

Dolores Ann Lang, 85, Marathon passed away peacefully on Monday November 3, 2014 with her family at her side. She was born January 5, 1929 in Poniatowski daughter of the late Theodore and Anna (Socha) Miller. Dolores graduated from Holy Family Grade School and Edgar High School. She married Luke Lang on June 2, 1951 at Holy Family Church, Poniatowski and they moved to Marathon that same year. After high school Dolores worked at Employers Mutual of Wausau. She then spent the next 30 years raising their 6 children and working part-time at Bergs Family Store and ginseng gardens. She was a member of St. Mary's Parish, Marathon for 63 years and Catholic Order of Foresters, Parish Council of Catholic Women, and Third Order of St. Francis. She attended daily mass and distributed communion to shut-ins for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family on camping trips, her bird Tweety, fishing, traveling with her family around the United States, and cooking, baking, gardening, and canning for her family. After retirement, Dolores and Luke traveled to many international countries and took many cruises. They also attended 30 different Elderhostels in many different states. Dolores was a member of bowling leagues at Marathon Lanes for many years, and enjoyed playing poker and sheepshead with family and friends. She also spent many family vacations at her sister's cottage in Minocqua. She is survived by Luke, her husband of 63 years and their 6 children. Daughters, Charmaine (Jim) Timler, Wausau; Carmen Lang, Fish Creek; Nancy (Sly) Krautkramer, Marathon; Lenore (Rusty) Beilke, Appleton; Annette (Mark) Skrzypcak, Edgar. Son, Bruce (Suzie) Lang, Marathon. She is further survived by 15 grandchildren, Elisha Robinson, Josh (Katie) Wadzinski, Jessie (Shawn) Siebert, Dusty (Sara) Lang, Cassie Lang, Luke Lang, Carissa (Scott) Panning, Mitch Krautkramer, Brent Krautkramer, Danielle Beilke, Brice (Allison) Beilke, Trent Beilke, Brianna Skrzypcak, Kaitlyn Skrzypcak, Shania Skrzypcak, and 1 step-grandchild, Garth (Angela) Timler; and 8 great grandchildren She is also survived by 2 sister-in-laws, Arlene White, San Diego; Angie Rajek, Marathon. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lucille, Regina, Leona; brothers, John, Edward, Benedict, Joseph, Lawrence. The Funeral Mass will be at Noon Saturday November 8, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Msgr. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Visitation will start at 9:00 a.m. at the church and conclude at 11:30 a.m. The Rosary will be prayed at 11:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon, is in charge of arrangements.
