Dolores A. Folz

Dolores A. Folz 204 S. 48th Ave., Wausau, died Wednesday, October 23, 2002 as a result of an automobile accident in Kewanee, Ill. She was born October 10, 1924 in Marshfield, daughter of the late Christ and Mayme (Jonas) Kottmeyer. On May 3, 1947, she married LaVerne Folz at St. John Catholic Church, Marshfield, who survives her passing. Dolores was an executive secretary for First Wisconsin National Bank, Wausau until the time of her retirement in 1987. She was very active and volunteered at the Church of St. Anne and the Wausau Hospital. Among the many things she enjoyed were gardening and working in the yard, jig saw puzzles, computer games and playing cards with relatives and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and was an avid Packer fan. Besides her husband, LaVerne, Wausau, survivors include one daughter, Patricia (Richard) Czeck, Victoria, Minnesota; three sons, Dennis (Nancy) Folz, Green Bay, Gary (Elizabeth) Folz, Kewanee, Illinois and Mark Folz, Wausau; six grandchildren; one brother, Donald (Florence) Kottmeyer, Northbrook, Ill. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2002 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Steve Brice will preside. Entombment will be in the Holy Angel Mausoleum, Wausau. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Ave., Wausau and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a .m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although he spoke no word! I didn't ask for wealth or fame (I knew you wouldn't mind)- I asked him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind! I asked that he'd be near you At the start of each new day To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way! I asked for happiness for you In all things Great and small- But it was for his loving care I prayed the most of All!
