Dianne Krajewski DeLisle Leigh passed away on March 5, 2026 surrounded by her daughters and son-in-law in the comfort of her home in Madison, Wisconsin.
Dianne grew up in Rothschild, WI and graduated in 1959 from DC Everest High School. She worked as a bank teller after graduation for a while in Wausau. She Married Tom DeLisle in 1962. She and Tom moved to St. Anthony Village, Minnesota and Dianne worked in the dermatology department at the University of Minnesota. When they moved back to the Wausau area Tom worked for his father Glenn DeLisle and Dianne worked for the DeLisle Company doing accounting.
After she and Tom divorced Dianne went back to school to fulfill her dream of higher education. She spent two years at the University of Wisconsin Extension Marathon County, then moved to Madison to attend classes at the University of Wisconsin Madison, ultimately receiving a Masters in Social Work from the UW Madison. Dianne worked for the VA in Madison for a time. Then she got a position with Dane County Child Protective Services and worked there for years.
Dianne met Terry Heiden at St. Anthony Retreat Center in Marathon City, Wisconsin. Terry went to pursue a third college degree at the UW Madison and he and Dianne reconnected. Terry also became a social worker in Dane County. They had a lot in common. She married Terry in 1993 and had 16 years with him before Terry passed away in 2009.
After Dianne retired from Dane County Human Services, she worked for the Aging and Disability Resource Center, was a member of the Area on Aging Advisory Council and was a court appointed Guardian.
Dianne is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Ruth Krajewski, her brother William Craig Krajewski, sister-in-law Diana Krajewski, sister-in-law Sue Krajewski, her first husband Thomas Edward DeLisle, her second husband Terrence Dennis Heiden and her sister-in-law Sister Jolene Heiden, SSND School Sisters of Notre Dame.
Dianne leaves behind two daughters, Michelle Lindner (Ray), and Alisa DeLisle, two grandchildren Nicholas Lindner and Delaney Lindner, two brothers Richard Krajewski and Nicholas Krajewski and many nieces and nephews.
Dianne was a force of nature. She always did everything she could for others. She was a wonderful example for the entire family.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2026 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026 until the time of services all at the Stewart Avenue funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com
