Diann M. Schultz, 83, Wausau passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at North Central Health Care (Garden Side Crossing) in the care of Asera Care Hospice. Diann was born April 27, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Herman and Lucia (Thurs) Hanke. She married John Schultz on January 14, 1950, they were married for 64 years. Diann was a line worker at Marathon Cheese for more than 31 years. She enjoyed her family, going to church, going out to eat with John and family. She worked hard, enjoyed polkas and she will be missed forever. We all love you Mom. Diann is survived by her Husband, John Schultz; her children, Darlene (David) Behrens, Susan (Anton) Gomez, Carol Seubert, and Debra (Russell) Hilmershausen; her grandchildren, Brad (Sue) Behrens, Kris Rain, Antonio Gomez Jr., Joel Gomez, Kimberly Gomez, Craig (Jenelle) Seubert, Angela Seubert, Wendy Hilmershausen, Laura Hilmershausen; great grandchildren, Joey Gomez Jr., Brianna Gonzalaz, Kierra Walker, and Paxton Seubert. She is survived by one sister, Joyce Kay, and 2 sister-in-laws, Clara Stahel and Ramona Hanke. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Alfred Hanke, Herman "Tony" Hanke, Leonard Hanke and Rudolph "Carl" Hanke and sister, Esther (Ted) Maeder and brother-in-law, Charles Kay. Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, 206 Hemlock Street, Marathon. The Rev. Jon W. Hadler will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Church. Burial will follow at St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery, Marathon. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon is in charge of arrangements.
