Dennis Leo Singer

Dennis Leo Singer, 67, died Thursday, January 8, 2009 at a Morgan City, LA nursing home. He was born Jan. 4, 1942 in Milwaukee, son of the late Charles and Adeline Singer. A few years later the family moved to the Wausau area. Dennis served our country in the US Coast Guard from Aug. 1960 to Aug. 1967. Following his service years he settled in Morgan City where he worked in communications and electronics repair on ships and barges. For several years he also had his own business known as Singer Electronics. Survivors include five brothers, Charles, Mosinee, Robert (Carmela), Rockville, MD, Richard, Midwest City, OK, Gerald (Diane), Issaquah, WA and John, Schofield; four sisters, Judith Buntrock, Schofield, Shirley (Edward) Princl, Weston, Kathleen (Kenneth) Asterita, Bella Vista, AR and Margaret (Richard) Pesmark, Peshtigo. Private family graveside services will be at a later date. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
