Dennis Rase, 62, of Rothschild, passed away on January 23, 2024 after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma.
Dennis is survived by his children Lucas of Colby, Zachary of Plover, and Cheyanne of Rothschild. He is also survived by his grandchildren Matthew and Abigail of Colby, who gave him the ultimate joy in life.
Born on November 10, 1961 to Mark and Evelyn Rase in Wausau, Wisconsin, he lived a life full of adventure, love and joy. Enlisting at the age of 18, he proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves. For 32 years, he worked as a utility contractor for North States Utility Contractors, which was later bought by Mastec. In his free time, he enjoyed going for rides on his Yamaha motorcycle, getting his newest tattoo and collecting Hot Wheels. He was a handyman, having built various wonderful wooden crafts as gifts and a knack for being able to fix anything. Over the years, he built an impressive model train diorama in his basement. In 2013, he gained his new title, the one he was most proud of: papa. He loved spending time with his grandkids, whether it was at the park, at dinner at Tri-City, showing off his grilling skills at home, feeding the giraffes at the zoo or at the train show. He was a real-life Santa Claus and made Christmas a special time for everyone in his life.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at a later date in spring. Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com.
