Dennis N. Garland

Dennis "Denny" N. Garland 56, Wausau, died Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at his home. He was born June 19, 1950 in Bangor, Maine, son of the late Winton and Alyce (Nixon) Garland. On September 2, 1978, he married Rosemary Rampanelli at Immaculate Conception Church, Iron Mountain, Mich. She survives. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietman War. Denny was currently employed as a salesman for Fred Mueller Buick Ponitac GMC Truck, Inc, Wausau. Among his many interests, he enjoyed being outdoors and working in his garden, visiting Fish Camp in the Keweenaw Pennisula, Michigan and most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Denny was also an avid Packer fan. Survivors include, his wife, Rose Garland, Wausau; two daughters, Lisa (Peter) Matz, Eau Claire and Lori Garland, Wausau; two sisters, Marge (Bob) Meyers, Wausedah, Mich. and Kelley Johnson, Florence, Wis.; and one brother, Jim (Marsha) Garland, Marysville, Wash.; and many nieces, nephews and relatives. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, John Brodersen and Merlin Johnson. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2006 at Christian Assembly-Assemblies of God, Wausau. Rev. Dennis Romine will officiate. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau with full military honors conducted by the American Legion Montgomery Plant Post #10, Wausau. Friends may call Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.
