Dennis Belongie

Dennis W. Belongie, 61, Wausau, died Thursday October 3, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services. He was born September 2, 1952, in Gaastra, Michigan, son of the late Lyle and Avis (Denis) Belongie. On May 25, 1974, he married Vicki Boehringer in Milwaukee. She survives. Prior to his retirement, Dennis had been employed with Kolbe and Kolbe Millwork. Among his favorite things to do were photography, antiquing and painting. Gardening was one of Dennis' favorite pastimes and his passion for this pursuit, culminated in achieving the status of master gardener. Survivors include his wife, Vicki, two children, Kristen (Peter) Chenoweth, Jacksonville, Illinois, Nicholas (fiancAC., Melinda Brennan) Belongie, Bloomington, Indianna, two brothers, Kevin (Carol) Belongie, Chandler, Texas, Jamie (Paul Kerr) Belongie, Iron River, Michigan, extended family and friends. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 12, 2013 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Ted Gulhaugen will officiate.
