Denise Lynn Gregory

Denise L. Gregory, 56, Wausau, died Friday, August 19, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born August 24, 1959 in Wausau, the daughter of Dennis and Evelyn (Schilling) Gregory. Denise enjoyed her role as a homemaker and loved cooking and baking for friends and family. She was known by all who knew and loved her as "The Heart of Wausau" because she always put the needs of others before herself. Denise had a deep faith and loved to be outdoors. Survivors include, two daughters, Tara French and Ashley Gregory, both of Monee, Ill.; one grandson, Angelo Pascarella, Monee, Ill.; her mother, Evelyn Winter, Schofield; three sisters, Jane Tuttle, Wausau, Joyce Gregory, Wausau and Lynn Gregory, Schofield; one brother, Ralph (Linda Rein) Gregory, Wausau; one niece, Johanna Gregory, Wausau; special friend, Owen Hanson, Wausau; and father of Tara and Ashley, Tom (Nancy) Bedwanic, Monee, Ill. She was preceded in death by one sister, Laurie Gregory; and her step-father, Glenn Winter. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Deacon Robert Anderson will officiate. Visitation is on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
