Deloris M. Kohnke, 82, Rothschild, died Friday, December 18, 2015 at Ministry St. Clare's Hospital, Weston. She was born December 15, 1933 in Eau Claire, daughter of the late Hjalmer and Norma (Link) Lien. On October 18, 1958 she married Douglas Kohnke in Chippewa Falls. He preceded her in death on October 6, 2006. For more than 25 years, Deloris was employed as a sales clerk at JC Penney Department Store, Milwaukee. Among her favorite pastimes were spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards, word search puzzles, fishing and taking occasional trips to the casino. Deloris is survived by two daughters, Linda (Rick) Koepke, Kronenwetter, Sharon (Scott) Rud, Fort Collins, CO; five grandchildren, Hannah and Max Koepke, David (Carley) Grorud, Jessica and Michael Rud; three great-grandchildren, Orin, Ayden, Lawson; one brother Dean Lien, Chippewa Falls; one sister Audrey Kallbreier, Chippewa Falls; and a special cousin Rayola (Jerry) Collins, Florida. Besides her parents and her husband, Deloris was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and Charles. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery, Lake Hallie. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the Sixth Street funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Wausau Community Theater.
