Delores E. Fochs Delores E. Fochs, 80 , 1005 S. Eighth Ave., Wausau, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002, at her home, under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services. Delores was born Feb. 20, 1922, in the Marathon County, town of Rib Falls, a daughter of the late Anton and Catherine (Schueller) Bergs. She attended Holy Family School, Poniatowski. She worked at St. Mary's Hospital, Wausau, for about five years before her marriage. On Nov. 7, 1942, she was married to Hubert Fochs at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. He survives. The couple farmed together in the Marathon County town of Rietbrock from 1951 to 1966. In 1971, the couple moved to Fond du Lac, where Delores worked as a nurse's aide at All About Life, Fond du Lac, for more than 10 years. In 1986, the couple retired, moved to the Wausau area and drove for Marathon County Social Services. Delores was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Wausau. She belonged to the Third Order of St. Francis and was a member of the St. Catherine Council. She was a Eucharistic minister and volunteered with the parish's funeral choir. Delores loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She treasured their artwork and crafts. She also liked to travel. Survivors besides her husband, Hubert, include a daughter, Sharon (Ken) Klewicki, Fond du Lac, and their children, Scott (Ann) Klewicki, Fond du Lac, Joseph (Tanae) Klewicki, Hudson, Amy Klewicki, Fond du Lac, and Ryan (Cherie) Klewicki, Fond du Lac; a daughter, Jan (Jerry) Sliwicki, Edgar, and their children, Paul Sliwicki, Wausau, Kevin (Susan) Sliwicki, Stevens Point, and Brenda Sliwicki, Edgar; a son, Michael (Diane) Fochs, Aniwa, and their children, Tammy (Greg) Steber, Green Bay, and Laurie (Chris) Johnson, Jackson; 10 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Sister Kathleen Bergs SDS, Milwaukee, Sylvester (Loretta) Bergs, Wausau, Sister Lawrence Bergs SDS, Milwaukee, Herbert (Mary Alice) Bergs, Edgar, Germaine Ritger, Marathon, and Lawrence (Gladys) Bergs, Tomah; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Alois, Alex and Anthony. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Friday November 8, 2002 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Robert Thorn will preside. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Edgar. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of services at the church. The family wishes to thank Dr. Hamied Rezazadeh and the staff of the UW Cancer Center and Comfort Care and Hospice Services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Delores' name to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Peterson/Kramer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth St., Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
