Della Marquardt

Della Marquardt, 91, was suddenly called to her heavenly home on August 30, 2018 while reading her morning devotions.  She currently lived at Renaissance Assisted Living in Weston.

She was born in Wausau on June 23, 1927, to Richard and Alvina (Pagel) Tesch.  She married Ruben Marquardt, September 13, 1947 and shared 69 years together until Ruben’s death in July 2016.

Della was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church.  She attended St. John Lutheran School, and graduated from Wausau High in 1945.

She was a supportive, hardworking partner with her husband in several businesses through the years, and drove school bus for 17 years.  Together they enjoyed traveling, weekends at St. Germain and playing cards with family and friends.  She was always known as a wonderful cook.  Della was a loving, caring, Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma, and a Christian example to all.

She is survived by son, Gerald (Mary), Wausau, daughter, Jean (Rob) Rosenberg, Stillwater, Minnesota, and son, Randy (Cathy), Ringle.  Also survived by grandchildren, Anthony Stomski, St. Paul, Minnesota, Jodi (Brett) McCarthy, Hawthorne Woods, Illinois, Rhonda (Tom) Kamineck, Saukville, Jessica (Kevin) Stomski-Seim, Stillwater, Minnesota, Brian (Lindsey) Marquardt, Plymouth, Minnesota and Kyle (Melissa) Marquardt, Wausau, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law Lester and Estella Tesch, and a sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Raymond Marquardt.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at St. John Lutheran Church, town of Easton, with visitation at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.  Rev. John Stransky will officiate.  Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau.
