Delbert A. Zietlow, 82, town of Rib Falls, died Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born February 20, 1932 at the family homestead in Rib Falls, son of the late Arthur and Adelia (Schultz) Zietlow. On June 23, 1956, he married Elsie Ahrens at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Marathon. She survives.
Delbert drove milk truck in his younger years, and worked his entire life on the farm. He also worked as a truck driver for Marathon Millwork.
He was a member of the Farm Bureau for many years. One of Delbert's favorite pastimes was making maple syrup.
Survivors include, his wife of 58 years, Elsie Zietlow, Rib Falls; three sons, Duane (Laurie) Zietlow, Rib Mountain, Larry (Lori) Zietlow, Athens and Rodney (Susan) Zietow, Edgar; seven grandchildren, Amber Michur, Lindsey (Christopher) Doman, Mallory Zietlow, Brandon Lee, Kristin Zietlow, Michelle (Jesse) Knetter and Stacey Zietlow; one great-grandson, Ethan Doman; and one sister, Delores (Arthur) Staszak, Wausau.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2014 at St. John Lutheran Church, Rib Falls. Rev. Terry Reich will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
