Debra "Debbie" A. Salber, 53, Marathon died Wednesday, March 23, 2016 peacefully at her home after battling cancer.
She was born September 2, 1962 to Stanley Laszewski and Judy Wilson in Rhinelander. On November 5, 1982 she married David Salber at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. He survives.
Debbie was a fun loving adventurous woman. She loved spending time outdoors gardening, fishing and participating in half marathons. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and being an active member of St. Mary Parish in Marathon.
Survivors include her husband, David Salber, Marathon, her mother, Judy Wilson, Rhinelander, her children, Emily (Josh) Cotter, Chilton, Rebecca (Justin) Brodhagen, Belfair, Washington and Jake Salber, Marathon, two grandchildren, Thatcher and Quinn Brodhagen and her siblings, Chris Laszewski, Merrill, Jeff Laszewski, Seattle, Washington and Nick Laszewski, Sarasota, Florida.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. The Rev. Msgr. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
