Debra J. Krebsbach

Debra "Debbie" Jean (Stanton) Krebsbach, 58, Edgar, Wis. died Saturday, October 17, 2015 surrounded by her family at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born September 4, 1957 in Mauston, Wis., the daughter of Robert and Ruthanne (Mauer) Stanton. Debbie graduated from Mauston High School in 1975 and attended college in Eau Claire, Wis. She later married Timothy Cook from Mauston and together had 2 children, Jennifer (Cook) Nilssen and Amanda (Cook) Mikhaeil. Later in life, she moved to Edgar where she ran a local business, met and married Jay Krebsbach, and spent the remaining years of her life. During this time, she also waitressed, cooked and managed at local restaurants. In recent years, she worked in the local deli/bakery where she enjoyed frequent visits from families and children. Debbie's interests in life included spending time with family, doing ceramics, cooking, listening to music, watching the Packers, caring for her beloved dogs and buying special gifts for others. She was always known for her big heart and generous spirit. Survivors include her husband, Jay; parents, Robert and Ruthanne (Mauer) Stanton; grandmother, Geraldine "Miggy" Stanton; sisters, Mary (Paul) Brown, Karen (Jeff) Wafle, Rhonda (Rich) Hoeth; brother, Robert Jr. (Melissa) Stanton; daughters, Jennifer (Andy) Nilssen and Amanda (Reza) Mikhaeil; grandchildren, Conner and Lauren Nilssen, and Naila, Raina, Suhaila, and Christopher Mikhaeil; nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents who held a special place in her heart, Clarence and Inas (Attewell) Stanton and Arthur and Violet (Bigalke) Mauer. Funeral services will be held at Noon on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the St. Stephen Evangelical Lutheran Church, 424 North Third Ave, Edgar. Rev. Gail Sowell will officiate. Visitation for family and friends will be at 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the Mauston Cemetery in Mauston.
