Deborah Gassner

Deborah A. Gassner, 74, died February 24, 2026, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

She was born April 26, 1951, in Poughkeepsie, New York, daughter of the late George and Anna Mae (Hoffman) Jones. On October 27, 1979, she married Jon Gassner at Holy Name Catholic Church, Wausau.

Deb worked over 40 years at Marathon Cheese; she was never one to be afraid of hard work. She enjoyed traveling and the wind in her hair on the back of the motorcycle with her husband and friends. Her favorite cycle trip was to Sturgis. She loved taking walks and animals, especially puppies. Her family was always number one and she was the kindest person you could ever meet.

Survivors include her husband, Jon; children, Michelle (Chad) Huff and Shawn (Savannah) Gassner; grandson, Cameron Gassner; siblings, Charles Jones, Dianne (Stan) Kaminski, Joseph (MaryJo) Jones, Ann Marie Jones and Teresa (Steven) Boorse; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Keith Jones.
